Homemade tahini (basic)

This is so super easy and such a good base for sauces. And goes really well with (roasted) vegetables, grilled oily fish or barbecued meat.

All you need is:


sesame seeds
oven and food processor
water and lemon
olive oil


Preheat oven on 180 degrees Celsius.
Roast the seeds in the oven until you can scent the smell of the sesame seeds.
Let them cool down a bit and put in food processor
Add a little bit of oil and some spoons of water and lemon if you prefer
You can also season them with salt but I didn't
Grind until paste and put in weckjar to store
